Summing it up

I have really enjoyed the tasks for this learning group. I am ready to start my own website and mash-up all my new accounts. The material provided was wonderful and very insightful. I'm ready to learn more and brainstorm on some ways that our library can become "the hub of the Armstrong community."

Wikis

After reading the article by Meredith Farkas on "Using Wikis to Create Online Communities" I started having ah-ha thoughts going through my head. She came up with some wonderful ideas. The next time we go anywhere for a conference we need to start a wiki in the area. Okay is it too late to start one for Athens, GA for the 5 of us going to GOLD/GALILEO....

Facebook

I just set up my Facebook account. I feel like a teenager. I have 2 friends, my son and daughter. I'm still learning how to make friends.

del.icio.us

I set up my account and have posted some of the links to the articles listed on the "Library 2.0 Discussions (list of great references from Wikipedia)" I can tell this site is going to be a great organizing spot for me. Cant wait to get started!

And the Oscar Goes to...

These were all excellent websites. Makes you want to be a web designer. (Almost) Most of the winners were very basic, clean and user friendly.

Crystal Ball

I read the articles on the "OCLC Next Space Newsletter " They were very enlightening and it really gets you excited about all this sharing and accessibility to information. Teaching others and learning how to accomplish this task will be a little harder for some, but the younger generation seems to be born with the knowledge.
